New police station update

By Bradley Koltz

The new Bethel Police station is nearing completion, with the department expected to move into the new space in September.

Captain Pugner recently told the News-Times "We're excited, but at the same time we're not in a rush because we want to make sure it's finished," he said. "We don't want to move in, rush it and miss things."

Readers may recall that the Town broke ground on the project in May of last year after voters approved the $13.5 million plan.

"There's light at the end of the tunnel," Captain Pugner said. "We're getting to the finish line. We just want to make sure everything is done."
