It takes a village to keep a farm
We were deeply saddened to learn that the current management of Holbrook Farm is calling it quits at the end of this season.

It's clear from the note sent by Farm Manager Jess Wong how heart breaking this is. And anyone who has grown to love the fresh produce, or the delicious scones, can't help but feel a serious twinge of loss.

We as a community have one last opportunity to come together and help. There are still lots of fresh produce, baked goods, specialty items and much, much more that are and will be for sale through the end of the season this November.

We urge our readers to take the time to visit this important piece of our legacy and our community and share in the bounty of this labor of love soon to be lost.

We hope the farm operation will pass to new hands and that all of us will be active custodians of this precious resource.

Some of the staff are also beginning the search for new work, and we hope our readers will pass along any opportunities they are aware of.

Holbrook Farm is located at 45 Turkey Hill Road in Bethel.
