First annual OctoberFeast a huge hit

By Bradley Koltz

The Bethel Chamber of Commerce held its first annual OctoberFeast on Friday evening at the Stony Hill Preserve on Friday, October 12th.

The event drew hundreds of attendees to the beautiful, "hidden gem" at the Preserve, for an evening of food, beer, wine, spirits, live music, dessert and coffee.

Eight local restaurants partnered with the Chamber to bring an assortment of food and dessert: Daily Fare, Le Madri, Note Kitchen and Bar, Portofino, Rizzuto's, Rocco's and Varano's Bakery. Chamber member Costco provided soda and cake, and Blue Jay Orchards provided cider donut holes and cider. Noteworthy Chocolates provided customized chocolate for the event, while Culligan provided water, and UK Gourmet provided chips and toffee.

Mad Hatter Moon Bounce provided the life size foosball inflatable. S&S Electric provided additional venue lighting and Bart's Tree Service provided supplemental lighting in the parking lot.

Drinks were provided by Asylum Distillery, Black Hog, Broken Symmetry, Central Package, Max Wine and Spirits, Nod Hill Brewery, Owl's Brew, Portofino, Shelter Rock Winery and Taunton Fine Wines.

The event also saw the debut of the reconstituted band, Madz and The Ladz.

The Chamber collected food donations for the Bethel Community Food Pantry. Visit the Chamber website for contact info at
