WinterFest Santa Moves Inside

This year, because of the 20 degree weather, Santa went inside the Municipal Center after arriving at the WinterFest Tree Lighting at P.T. Barnum Square on Friday, November 23rd.

Children and parents lined up in the hall outside the Multi Purpose Room in Municipal Hall for the chance to meet Santa.

"We are very grateful to the Town Parks and Recreation Department for allowing us to use the Multi Purpose Room," said Bethel Chamber of Commerce President Brad Koltz. "We had so many parents thank us. We appreciate Eileen Earle and the Parks and Recreation Department for arranging for Santa to have access to the room. We also thank the Bethel Volunter Fire Department for bringing Santa and Autumn Waggoneer for decorating and donating the new chair for Santa, and Macaroni Kids for donating the candy canes and of course all the volunteers and sponsors who make this event possible."
