Board Chair Treated For Leukemia

Larry Craybas, chair of the Bethel Board of Education, has moved to Sloan Kettering in New York for treatment of leukemia. His wife Joan will be staying in New York with Larry during treatment, with Terri and Bob minding the family shop, The Gift Cottage, on Greenwood Avenue. "It's been rough and it's going to be hard, but we're blessed by the support of so many wonderful people in town" said Joan.

The Bethel Chamber has put a get well card at The Gift Cottage and encourages friends, family, neighbors and business associates to stop by and sign the card. "It really cheers him up to get cards and well wishes," said Joan.

Larry was being moved to Sloan Kettering at press deadline. We will publish where well wishes can be sent directly to Larry once he's settled in at Sloan Kettering.

In the meantime, readers can stop in at The Gift Cottage and sign the card.
