Police Promotions

The Bethel Police Department announced the promotions of Lieutenant George Bryce Jr. (r) and Sergeant Adam Cleary (l).

Remembering Jack Hawkins

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Jack Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins, husband of the late Carolyn Theresa (Hann) Hawkins and a former President of the Bethel Lion's Club passed away sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday, November 28th. We will publish funeral details and an obituary as soon as they are available.

Lions Club Tree Raffle

The Bethel Lions Club has teamed up with ERA Realty to display the Christmas tree they will be raffling on Saturday, December 7th, along with a basket of cheer.

Proceeds support the Lions Club activities, including Bethel High scholarships, food pantry donations, providing public school eye examinations and collecting and donating thousands of eye glasses each year.

Christmas Tree Sale

The Bethel Fire and EMS is holding their annual Christmas Tree Sale starting November 29th at the South Street Station. The 200 grade 1 trees are an important fundraiser supporting the department.

Honoring Eleanor Roche

Friends and well-wishers wish Eleanor Roche best of luck on her next endeavors after retiring from 36 years of service to Bethel.

Anti-Toll Petition

The Bethel Action Committee has gathered hundreds of signatures for their anti-toll petition that states: "Shall the Town of Bethel express its opposition to a State of Connecticut tolling system by way of correspondence stating such, addressed to the appropriate legislative officials by the First Selectman pursuant to Section C5-2(a) of the Bethel Town Charter."

Car Seat Clinic

Last weekend, members of the Bethel Police Department held a free car seat clinic to help ensure a safe holiday for Bethel's youngest passengers.

Bethel High School Essay Winner

Bethel High's Puneet Sidhu has won the Next Gen Personal Finance's Payback Challenge for Bethel High School. Her essay will be submitted to a national contest.

Decorating The Town
