Local Civil Rights Violations To Be Investigated

Last week U.S. Attorney General Barr issued a directive to state U.S. Attorneys to aggressively investigate and prosecute violations of individual civil rights, including obstruction of voting rights.

In an interview with the Connecticut U.S. Attorney's office, they shared the address for citizens to file complaints: www.justice.gov/file/1214316/download/. A phone number and email address are on the form.

More information about the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and the laws it enforces is available at www.justice.gov/crt.

The spokesman for the office was unable to comment on specific open investigations at this time.
