Dan Carter who is seeking to return to Hartford and represent Bethel, Danbury, Newtown, and Redding in the state legislature has received the endorsement of the Connecticut REALTORS®, which represents 17,000 members involved in all aspects of real estate in Connecticut.
"I am grateful to have the endorsement of the Connecticut REALTORS®," said Carter. "Real estate is at the heart of our local economy across the state and here in the Second District."
In Carter’s 6 years as the State Representative for the 2nd district, he has supported numerous bills aimed at increasing affordable housing, providing tax incentives to encourage home ownership, and relieving the tax burden on real property owners.
"Realtors understand better than most how to ensure there is a positive environment for living in Connecticut," said Carter. "Realtors have their finger on the pulse of this state and realtors have remained a valuable, non-partisan source of information to help my constituents."
Carter has centered his campaign to return to the legislature on the issue of Affordability in Connecticut. He has cited high taxes and regulations for causing the exodus of people and jobs from the state.
"As families relocate to Connecticut in response to the Covid-19 crisis, it's more important than ever to make Connecticut affordable for everyone," remarked Carter. "New taxes are not the answer to our budget shortfalls. We still have a spending problem."
