Fire Displaces Several Local Businesses

On Thursday, October 15th at approximately 11:45 a.m. Bethel and Stony Hill Firefighters were alerted to a structure fire in an upholstery shop on Greenwood Avenue. Units found heavy fire in the ceilings in the upstairs unit. Mutual aid responded to scene including Danbury Fire Department, Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, West Redding Volunteer Fire Department and Danbury Squad 7. There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation by the Bethel Emergency Management and the Bethel Fire Marshal.

In total four businesses were displaced by the fire, including Bethel Upholstery Pretty Little Things, Tristar Graphics and The Willows Massage & Wellness Center.
