New home for local shops
By Bradley Koltz
With work completed on the historic building near the corner of Greenwood Ave and Depot Place, two Bethel businesses have relocated into the renovated shops.
The Toy Room opened last Wednesday at 180 Greenwood Avenue, and owner Kim Ramsey reports they have been very busy. Next door, Byrd's Books opened last Saturday at 178 Greenwood Avenue. Alice Byrd Hutchinson described the opening as a soft opening, allowing the store and customers to get settled into the new space.
In a new twist, a door connecting the two shops will allow customers to move between the two stores.
A Grand Re-opening is scheduled for Saturday, September 15th at 11 a.m.
The Grand Re-opening will also celebrate Di Lillo Real Estate who have been able to remain open in the end unit of the building at 162 Greenwood Avenue.
And new shop Patricia's Presents, located next to Di Lillo Real Estate at 164 Greenwood Avenue will be opening on September 15th, and celebrating their Grand Opening at the same event on September 15th.
