Where to vote on Nov. 6

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday Nov. 6 to vote for U.S. Senate and congressional races as well as Connecticut's statewide election for governor, lt. governor, state treasurer, state comptroller, attorney general and secretary of the state, state senate, state house of representative and judge of probate races.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. will be able to vote even after the deadline passes. You can find your poll location at the Secretary of the State website by inputting your information at this website, or by using the map of voting districts published with this article and referencing the locations list provided by the Town of Bethel website.

In the Governor's race the candidates are Ned Lamont, Democrat, Bob Stefanowski, Republican, Rodney Hanscomb, Libertarian, Mark Stewart Greenstein, Amigo Constitution Liberty Party, and Oz Griebel, Griebel Frank for CT Party.

The candidates for lieutenant governor are Susan Bysiewicz, Democrat, Joe Markley, Republican, Jeffrey Thibeault, Libertarian Party, John Demitrus, Amigo Constitution Liberty Party, and Monte E Frank, Griebel Frank for CT Party.

For the U.S. House of Representatives race the candidates in the 5th District are Jahana Hayes, Democratic Party, and Manny Santos, Republican Party.

The candidates for the U.S. Senate race are Matthew Corey, Republican Party, Christopher S. Murphy, Democratic Party, Richard Lion, Libertarian Party, and Jeff Russell, Green Party.

In the Secretary of State race the candidates are Denise W Merrill, Democratic Party, Susan Chapman, Republican Party, Heather Lynn Sylvestre Gwynn, Libertarian Party, and Michael DeRosa, Green Party.

In the race for State Treasurer the candidates are Shawn Wooden, Democratic Party, Thad Gray, Republican Party, and Jesse Brohinsky, Libertarian Party.

For State Comptroller, the candidates are Kurt Miller, Republican Party, Kevin Lembo, Democratic Party, Paul Passarelli, Libertarian Party, and Edward G. Heflin, Green Party.

For Attorney General the candidates are William Tong, Democratic Party, Sue Hatfield, Republican Party, Peter D. Goselin, Green Party.

In Bethel, the candidates for the 26th Senatorial District are Will Haskell, Democratic Party, and incumbent Toni Boucher, Republican Party. In the 24th Senatorial District, the candidates are Julie Kushner, Democratic Party and incumbant Michael A. McLachlan, Republican Party.

Bethel residents will also vote for state representative in the 107th House District, with candidates Daniel Pearson, Democratic Party and incumbent Stephen G. Harding, Republican Party, and in the 2nd House District candidates Raghib Allie-Brennan, Democratic Party, and incumbent William Duff, Republican Party.

Daniel W. O'Grady, Republican Paryy, is on the ballot uncontested for Judge of Probate.

Bethel voters will also be electing a Registrar of Voters. The candidates are Nancy J. Ryan, Democratic Party; and Timothy R. Beeble, Republican Party.

Connecticut offers Election Day registration, but those who arrive need to be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote.

Absentee ballots are also available for those who won't be in town on election day.

For all elections, Bethel is divided into 5 voting districts.

The entirety of Bethel is located in the 5th Congressional District, currently represented by Rep. Elizabeth Esty.

Bethel is split between two State Senate districts: the 24th State Senatorial District, currently represented by Sen. Michael A. McLachlan, and the 26th State Senatorial District, currently represented by Sen. Toni Boucher.

Bethel is also split between two State House districts: the 2nd State Assembly District, currently represented by Will Duff, and the 107th State Assembly District, currently represented by Stephen G. Harding.

District 1 is part of the 24th State Senate District and the 107th State Assembly District. The polling place for District 1 is located at the Bethel Municipal Center, 1 School Street.

District 2 is part of the 26th State Senate District and the 107th State Assembly District. The polling place for District 2 is at the Stony Hill Fire Department, 59 Stony Hill Road.

District 3 is part of the 24th State Senate District and the 2nd State Assembly District. The polling place for District 1 is at

Frank A. Berry School, 200 Whittlesey Drive.

District 4 is part of the 24th State Senate District and the 2nd State Assembly District. The polling place for District 4 is at the Bethel Municipal Center, 1 School Street.

District 5 is part of the 26th State Senate District and the 2nd State Assembly District. The polling place for District 1 is located at Frank A. Berry School, 200 Whittlesey Drive.
