Spotlight: Chuck Sussman
Town Planner Publisher

Brad: When did you start publishing Town Planner?
Chuck: 1993
Brad: Why?
Chuck: I was producing direct mail pieces as well as a coupon envelope. The Town Planner satisfied the questions I was most asked: how can a get more time in front of my prospect with my direct mail piece, and how do I know anybody sees what I send them.

Brad: How many editions do you have and where?
Chuck: We produce and distribute 5 editions in Bethel, Ridgefield, Brookfield, Newtown / Sandy Hook and North Danbury.

Brad: Who receives the Town Planner?
Chuck: Every home in the areas

Brad: Who should advertise in it?
Chuck: Because of the flexibility of Town Planner programs, it can benefit all business types including retail, service, and professional as well as any size budget.

Brad: What did you do before publishing the calendars?

Chuck: I did direct mail marketing including a periodic coupon envelope

Brad: What's your funniest customer story?

Chuck: I had a car wash client who claimed he would receive way may coupons for his program than I thought. We placed a dollar bet on the quantity redeemed, and I was very happy to lose the bet.

Brad: What do you like most about what you do?

Chuck: I have learned a little bit about a whole bunch of businesses and have met some of the most interesting people along the way.

Brad: Do you have any special offers for our readers?

Chuck: If you become a sponsor in the Town Planner and mention this article in the Gazette, you will get a 5% discount on your program.
